Responsible Gaming

Now this is a very important part of the player verification on in otherwise known as KYC process. This stands for Know Your Customer. The reason the casinos do this is to make sure that the player who has created the account and made the deposits and withdrawn the possible winnings, is actually the person who they state they are.

What is needed for a KYC?

This is a good question and very easy to answer.

  1. Picture of your ID, Passport or residential card.
  2. Proof of address, what can be a Water, Gas or Electricity bill, that states your address. Landline bill or a Cable bill can also be accepted.
  3. Proof of Payment, this is a proof that it has been done from the correct account, card or e-wallet.
-Screen shot of your Neteller, Skrill or ecoPayz account
-Picture of your Credit Card (Front and back side) So that the first 4 digits and the last 6 digits are visible, but all other numbers must be cleared out.

The term KYC is also used in referral to anti-money laundering regulations known as AML and banking regulations which oversee activities in these categories. Know your customer processes are used by banks, Insurance companies and online casinos to deem if a player is a person they claim to be or if the player is a risk player who should not play online.

This has to do also with responsible gaming but should not be confused together. But many casinos offer questionnaire that looks pretty much like this!

Is My Gambling Problematic?

If you unsure if your, a friend’s or family member’s gambling is problematic, consider the following questions:

  • Do you avoid your daily responsibilities (work, college etc.) in order to gamble?
  • Do you use gambling as a way to avoid dealing with issues in your everyday life?
  • Do you feel lost and in despair when you run out of money to gamble with?
  • Do you often find yourself trying to win back losses?
  • Have you lied or stolen for the sole purpose of getting money to gamble or pay back debts accrued from gambling?
  • Have you ever tried to cover up how much money or time you spend on gambling?
  • Do you gamble until your gambling funds have run out, then resort to spending money which was not originally intended for gambling?
  • Has your gambling caused you to get into debt?
  • Have you experienced criticism from others over your gambling activity?
  • Are you reluctant to use your ‘gambling money’ for anything other than gambling?
  • Has interest in family, friends and hobbies dwindled due to your gambling?
  • Do you find yourself putting gambling before family and friends?
  • Do you feel the urge to gamble more after arguments, frustrations or disappointments occur?
  • Does your gambling make you feel depressed or suicidal?

The more questions that you answered ‘yes’ to, either concerning you or a friend/family member, the more likely it is that you or they have a gambling problem that requires attention.

Then it comes to the following questions that are very important.

How Can I Restrict My Account?

To ensure you enjoy your online experience with us and stay in control of your gaming, we provide you with a range of options to assist you to gamble responsibly, as follows:

  • Deposit Limits
  • Cool Off Period
  • Self-Exclusion
  • Reality Check

Can I apply limits to my account?

The answer is YES, Yes you can! You can set normally at least these limits on every single casino we have listed on our website.

  • The daily deposit limits
  • The weekly deposit limit
  • The monthly deposit limits

Reality Check

You can remind yourself how long you have been playing on the site for after a specified period of time. When you activate the reality check function, after the specified time period a system message will appear informing you of the amount of time you have been playing for and the amount you have won and bet during this time. You will have the option to continue playing or to stop.

Session limits

You can set a “timer” that will calculate how long have you been playing. Let´s say you set yourself a limit of one hour (1h) a day, then every time you log in the system will start counting down from 60 minutes, then it will either tell you or then log you out.

This depends on the Casino and the system they are using. Then there are other options as Freezing your account or taking a Cool Off period. These can be anything from 24 hours to 3 months. Then if you are having a feeling that your gambling is going or starting to get out of hand. Then we recommend you to Self-Exclude yourself from the Casino or Online Casinos that you are playing on.

You do not have to do this for ever, but for a period of time.

You can request self-exclusion by contacting one of our trained operators via chat for the period of, remember that if you self-exclude yourself permanently it then also means Permanent. This cannot be lifted or cancelled, as this has been done by you and even it was a mistake, it is final.

  • 1 month
  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • Permanent

But this of course is always the last option. But we also take this very seriously, so this is the reason why we are going thru this so precisely and clearly, as we believe that the only way you will come back to read our stories and visit our casino brands, is that we are 100% honest with you and that is what we want, as you as a player is what is important to us. We are players too!
